{16 months}

Sixteen months- only 2 months away from being halfway through his second year, and three months away from being a big brother. What crazy thoughts! I love the independence Weston is gaining at this age, it's so fun to see the little boy he is growing to be. He loves walking around the house, moving around and exploring from one room to the next. Often times we will be in the living room and hear a loud knocking sound followed by a few shrieks and we'll know he's closed himself in one of the front bedrooms. Most of the time when we have to go find him he is just sitting contently on daddy's futon in the "Man Room", just hanging out. We love that we don't have to chase after him if he leaves a room because he's rarely getting in to something he's not supposed to be.... Though if it's quiet for too long we definitely do investigate to see where he's wondered off to.
Weston has become a real "helper" this month, it's the sweetest thing. He loves to get in to the dishwasher where he thinks he can help load and unload dishes, though we quickly discouraged this since the knives are usually the first things he goes for! He's even figured out how to unlock it and open it himself. Another thing he enjoys helping with is laundry. When I am putting clothes in the washer or dryer he likes to pick up random articles and throw them in. He also follows behind me to pick up anything I may drop which is actually a huge help since it's getting harder for me to bend over :)

This month we had a cousin sleepover at our house while Uncle Shawn and Auntie Kate were in California. Everyone had a great time and Weston loved waking up to friends to play with. He gave both girls lots of kisses.

One of his favorite toys right now is his set of big blocks. He is learning how to really stack and build with them, but mainly they are fun to dump out. He also loves to dance and will start rocking or moving his arms when his toys make music or a commercial comes on. We don't know where he got his moves, but they sure are cute!

Weston is still a cuddly little man. He likes to have some cuddle time before and after naps and before we lay him down at night. We are now done with bottles but still give him some milk in a sippy cup right before bed while we cuddle and rock. He also gets milk with his breakfast and with his afternoon snack. He eats three meals a day and one or two snacks. While he is still a pretty picky little guy we have discovered that he loves ketchup, so that's been helpful in getting him to try some new meats.

You've never been much of a back sleeper, but I've caught you like this a few times now. You still sleep well for the most part, going to bed around 7:30-8 and waking up around 7. Every once in a while you cry a little in the middle of the night, but not enough to wake yourself up, so I think you might just be dreaming.
You still take one good long nap every afternoon, usually 2.5 to 3 hours long.

You LOVE ice cream!
Cuddling with my sweet boy
Trying a brownie- you aren't too picky about desserts :)
