{14 months}

This 14 month post is basically going to be picture overload. It seems like each day brings new tricks, new things to explore, new incredibly cute faces and expressions. This age is both so fun and so frustrating. The frustration comes with you wanting to be able to do things you aren't quite capable of doing on your own yet, and also not being able to communicate exactly what you want. We are figuring things out day by day though and your motor and communication skills are improving daily. I LOVE watching you learn new things (someone's got to be my student since I'm not currently in the classroom :)) and you're coming to the age where you are understanding what I'm trying to teach you. Hopefully you'll learn to love as much as I love to teach :)

We've been to the park a couple of times this month. You're not really big enough to play yet, but you just LOVE being outside! We had a picnic on this day and this is you and Charlotte for a back to back comparison picture. You are about 13.5 months and she's around 15.5 months... You're just a tiny bit bigger than her :)

Charlie is your best bud and you love to share your snacks with him. On this day you decided to try his food! YUCK! If I hadn't swooped it and gotten it out of your mouth (after a quick picture, of course) you definitely would have chewed and swallowed a mouthful. Bleh.

Before it got really hot we got out for a couple of walks. You look like such a big boy in your baseball cap!

Bath time is one of your favorite things. You'll go to the bathroom and point and make a whiny noise to let us know you want to take a bath.

This picture just cracks me up. You think it is so fun to find your bellybutton and you also like to lift up our shirts to find ours as well. It's funny until you try it in public :)

Still exploring the doggie door and loving your dump truck! 

You have really started to like books this month. Mainly you just enjoy opening and shutting them, but occasionally you'll let me read one too you.

We made a special trip to Austin this month to watch Aunt Shannon graduate from UT Law School. At her graduation party we were finally able to get a Four Generations picture!

On Memorial Day we headed to the beach! You didn't love it, but you didn't completely hate it either. I think when there is less seaweed you'll enjoy it more. This picture of you and your daddy is one of my favorites.

Aunt Caitlin, Aunt Shannon, Uncle Jon and Gentry came to stay with us over Memorial Day weekend! You loved giving Gentry kisses!

We went to a Memorial day party with everyone and you were completely worn out after swimming! You really enjoyed the pool once you got used to it. I can't wait for more trips to the pool this summer! 

A couple of other stats for the month:

You weighed 26.6 pounds when I weighed you on our scale at home!

You haven't outgrown any clothes this month, thank goodness. 

Your molars, top and bottom, are pushing through. You've woken up screaming a couple of times in the night, but after some tylenol and cuddling you go back to sleep easily.

You now wear a size 5 overnight diaper each night too bed. I am tired of washing sheets and these work perfectly!

You've been practicing walking more and more and a few days after your 14 month birthday you've really taken off!
